THE RECORD OF SUCCESSION

The Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church, established by Jesus the Christ in fulfillment of the promise to restore humanity to Him, the Father, and Holy Spirit that none may perish, has been laid upon the handiwork of those apostolic and pious souls in accordance with the commandments of the Christ, that the gates of Hades may not prevail against His Church.

Being laid upon the foundational handiwork of those apostolic and pious souls, culminating in the bestowing of the episcopacy to their successors, the Church of Christ has stood strongly in defense of the faith against heterodoxy. Standing unmoved in defense of the faith of the One, Holy, Orthodox, Catholic, and Apostolic Church through the writings of the Fathers of the Great and Holy Church, the terminology and precepts of apostolic succession and the study of those in such lineages have been formulated; it has been formulated that one may examine if a body claiming to follow the Christ truly does so if they are susceptible to heresy, through unfolding the line of bishops to the Apostles chosen by the Christ, and examining if they have adhered to the faith and practice of the faith stemming from the Apostles of the Christ toward themselves, not diverging into heresy such as Gnosticism and Theosophical tenets, nor the abstention of the ancient, orthodox practices.

This, the Record of the Historic Episcopate according to the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church of Christ, is the complete recording of the episcopal genealogies within the Church of Christ. This complete recording of the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church’s episcopal genealogical record being presented within this text consists of the consolidated episcopal genealogy within the Antiochian Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church and Syracusan Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church, manifesting themselves into the primary Eastern and Western Rite lineages upheld within the autocephalous churches.

The primary Eastern Rite lineage descends from Saint Peter the Apostle, through Julius Ferrette and the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch, and its additional second lineages descend from Saint Peter the Apostle through Anthony Aneed and the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, bringing forth the Miaphysite and Chalcedonian principles into a unified Eastern lineage. The primary Western Rite lineage, in addition to other lineages within the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church as a whole, descends from Saint Peter and Saint Paul through Francis Hodur and the Polish National Catholic Church of the Old Catholic tradition, and Carlos Duarte Costa and the Brazilian Catholic Apostolic Church, whose successors were recognized and brought into the Papal Roman Church without conditional ordination or regularization. Among the other Eastern Rite lineages in the Record of the Historic Episcopate according to the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church of Christ, the Jerusalem and Smyrna (or Johannite) successions stems from Alfred Spencer Richardson and the Free Church of England among other sources; through Saint Thomas, the lineages of Chaldean succession are extended within the Antiochian Church converging in Hugh George de Willmott Newman and the defunct Catholicate of the West. The Athenian-Albanian lineage (which is Pauline) also stems from Hugh George de Willmott Newman. Kyivan succession is extended within, converging in Anthony Aneed and others likewise.

In addition, other lineages—while not publicly listed or brandished—such as through Saint Mark in Alexandria, Saint Jude Thaddeus and Saint Bartholomew in Armenia, and Saint Paul and Saint Barnabas in Cyprus, even Saint Simon the Zealot in Georgia, converge through many others before consolidation through Ecumenical Metropolitan Auriel Jones to the purpose of establishing at least one lineage which may be recognized by any other Christian church outside of the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church in ecumenism without disregarding sacramental character and the indelible Holy Spirit’s mark as others have irregularly.

This recording of the historic episcopate within the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church restores the Church of Christ’s full succession through the conferring of the fullness of apostolic succession upon Ecumenical Metropolitan Auriel Jones, which has brought those of the true Church of Antioch and the true Church of Rome into it once again, as these churches with the faith of the wrongfully-deposed Saint Eustathius the Great in 330 (AD/CE) were overshadowed by the Church of Constantinople and others succumbing to caesaropapism, culminating in the loss of bishops in 415 (AD/CE), and remaining with presbyters that wandered without the episcopacy’s oversight thereby lacking a distinctive historic episcopate, and those minorities grafted within, though maintaining apostolic succession partially by doctrine.

This can be also evidenced with the introduction of presbyter-bishops in the Antiochian Church faithful to Saint Eustathius the Great’s Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic dogma—a practice commonly upheld in the ancient Church of Alexandria in Egypt and others (though, the Alexandrians maintaining genuine succession and genealogies from Saint Mark), up to 5 September 2025 (AD/CE) with the conferring of full and undoubted historic succession toward Ecumenical Metropolitan Auriel Jones, succeeding a prior and very disputed regularization of holy orders between 2019 to 2024 (AD/CE) which were given with documented, written authorization from those no longer claimed following a disavowal of such credentials; and operating in chorepiscopal capacity and ordinary irregularity. It further culminates by this conferring through ecumenical episcopal ordination on 5 September 2025 (AD/CE) by bishops with both Evangelical Anglican and Old Catholic patrimonies—with the assent of various other bishops with Old Oriental and Byzantine Orthodox patrimonies—to cast away all doubts of the fullness of holy orders by the hand and faith of their episcopal protector; and those other episcopates assembled under them, alongside others concelebrating and witnessing from elsewhere. It also extends into additional historic lineages of the grace of apostolic succession as traced on 24 September 2025 (AD/CE) by being conferred the lines at the altar with Archbishop-Patriarch Thomas Frank Henry, II who has positioned himself as an individual member of the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans, and has established and signed intercommunion agreements between his church—the Apostolic Communion of Churches—and various diocesan jurisdictions which were within the Anglican Communion, the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans, and the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches; which, by further extension of those Anglican jurisdictions in communion with Patriarch Henry and the Apostolic Communion of Churches having intercommunion agreements with the Old Catholic Churches of the Union of Utrecht, the Lutheran churches within the Porvoo Communion, and the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church; thereby provided an unofficial connection to those churches without necessitating any intercommunion with those non-Anglican churches. As of the officialized October 2025 schism within the Anglican Communion by the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans in order to remain faithful to the historic Anglican orthodoxy, those intercommunion agreements which Patriarch Henry has maintained are only between his jurisdiction and those other GAFCON and GSFA jurisdictions, forgoing recognition by Canterbury or viewing the See of Canterbury as a litmus test. In this, it should be understood that Ancient Orthodoxy does not claim any unofficial connections or intercommunion agreements by being conferred additional lineages of succession from Patriarch Henry and his church's official intercommunion agreements; to do so would in this record and any others, be deliberately false and wrong.

Through this record, formulated through Eastern and Western Rite descendants of the church granted recognition throughout the Roman Empire—the Oriental Orthodox, the Catholic Church in Rome and the Eastern Catholic Churches, even the Eastern Orthodox—and descendants of this imperially-recognized gathering—the Union of Utrecht of the Old Catholic Churches and the Polish National Catholic Church, the Ancient British Church, the English Orthodox Church, the Ancient Catholic Church in the United Kingdom, the Catholicate of the West, the American Orthodox Catholic Church and American World Patriarchates, the Ecumenical Catholic Diocese of America, the Belarusian Church in Exile, and others—which have no relation to the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church except through the restoration of this church’s historic episcopacy with the full restoration of its ordinary episcopacy by granting an ecumenical grace of apostolic succession, the maintenance of the faith and practice of the faith as professed among the Great and Holy Church was preserved insofar as those churches have understood, being brought into the direct fullness of its definitive meaning through apostolic consolidation, by the hands of such bishops outside of this church desirous in healing the wounds of Ancient Orthodoxy.

The comprehensive recording as published in a book format, and bestowed to the bishops of the Great and Holy Church are confidential and may not—according to presentation—be given to those outside of the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church, in order to protect the records of the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Apostolic Church.
