The Ecumenical Metropolitan, the Apostolic Synod of Antioch, and Metropolitan Council have initiated the establishment of a new vocational formation and discernment program pertaining to those discerning their vocation to the diaconate, presbyterate, and episcopate.
This introduction of vocational formation and discernment has been named the "Antiochian Apostolic Vocational Program", and is purposed to serve as a one-year certificate program and probationary period of formation and discernment for men and women 18 and older residing within the territories of the United States, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, Israel and the Palestinian territories, Jordan, India, Pakistan and the Philippines—though in accordance with Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition, permitting women the diaconate alone.
Partaking in the Antiochian Apostolic Vocational Program, there will be internet courses in theology, Holy Scripture, canon law, the liturgy, as well as human level formation in local church leadership including but not limited to church growth and development. The internet courses will be hosted at Saint Eustathius the Great Antiochian College, headquartered in the United States of America.
The Antiochian Apostolic Vocational Program is sponsored by the Office of the Ecumenical Metropolitan and the Office of Vocational Formation. Men and women from other Orthodox Catholic Apostolic jurisdictions who have the support of their leadership are welcomed to attend the program.
Please submit one's desire to participate within the Antiochian Apostolic Vocational Program by the annual deadlines of May 20, recurring annually.
